On April 13th, the 21st China International Environmental Protection Exhibition and the 5th Ecological and Environmental Protection Industry Innovation and Development Conference opened in Beijing.

      In recent years, China's ecological and environmental protection industry has developed rapidly, with the continuous expansion of industrial scale and the emergence of significant technological innovation achievements in the field of ecological environment. The construction of a beautiful China empowers the development of ecological and environmental protection industries, and green and low-carbon development has become a new breakthrough for the industry to take off again and achieve leapfrog development. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment will fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development concept, actively construct a new development pattern, and promote high-quality economic and social development through high-level protection of the ecological environment. Adhere to innovation leadership and enhance the competitiveness of industrial development; Adhere to market orientation and promote the optimization and adjustment of industrial structure; Strengthen industry self-discipline, create a healthy and orderly market, and unite efforts to promote high-quality development of the ecological and environmental protection industry.

     The theme of this exhibition is "Green Water and Green Mountains are the Golden Mountains and Silver Mountains". The theme pavilions for water treatment, air pollution control, solid waste treatment, and environmental monitoring are set up, and special exhibition areas such as "dual carbon", "marine ecological governance", and "waste free city" are added. The China International Environmental Protection Exhibition has been held for 21 consecutive sessions and has become an important platform for the exchange and display of development achievements throughout the entire industry chain of China's ecological and environmental protection industry.

    Qu Geping, Chairman of the Environment and Resource Protection Committee of the 8th and 9th National People's Congress, and Xie Zhenhua, Special Envoy for Climate Change Affairs of China, sent congratulatory letters to the conference.
