On March 16, Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu chaired a ministerial executive meeting, which deliberated and approved in principle the "Technical Specification for the Interconnection Interface of Ecological Protection Red Line Supervision Data" (hereinafter referred to as the "Technical Specification"). Sun Jinlong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, attended the meeting.

      The meeting pointed out that delimiting and strictly observing the ecological protection red line is an important institutional innovation in China's ecological and environmental protection, and plays an important role in maintaining national ecological security, maintaining the stability and sustainability of the ecosystem, and promoting high-quality development. The formulation of the Technical Specifications is an important measure to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, and effectively fulfill the responsibilities of ecological and environmental supervision on the ecological protection red line. It is conducive to standardizing, guiding, and promoting the interconnection and information sharing of regulatory data on ecological protection red lines between the state and local governments, and bridging information silos across levels, systems, and departments, Promoting the formation of "one library", "one map", and "one network" for ecological protection red line supervision is of great significance for improving the operational level of the national ecological protection red line supervision platform and strengthening ecological environmental supervision on the ecological protection red line. After the issuance of the Technical Specifications, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and interpretation, provide job training and technical guidance, promote local information sharing with the national ecological protection red line monitoring platform, and further improve the ecological environment monitoring capacity of the ecological protection red line.

   Zhai Qing and Zhao Yingmin, Vice Ministers of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Liao Xiyuan, Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervision Commission stationed in the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Dong Baotong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Tian Weiyong, Chief Nuclear Safety Engineer, attended the meeting.
